This chain features a hand crafted hook and link that have been cuttle cast in solid silver. Both pieces are securely soldered to a handmade 925 paperclip chain to ensure durability. This is a solid yet comfortable statement piece designed to be worn daily.

CUTTLE CAST RANGE ~
Cuttlefish casting is an ancient jewellery making process that transforms the fleeting into something enduring, mortal to eternal. Each piece begins as a hand carved or hand built wax form, pressed into cuttle bone collected by my hands from local shores. Hidden within each bone are delicate ridges formed over a lifetime in the sea, leaving textures that can never be repeated.
Molten metal fills the impression, capturing every line and curve before each piece is finished by hand in my home studio. No two are ever the same.
The ocean has always been an integral part of my life and being. I grew up by the sea and now my daughter and I explore the shores in search of the cuttle bones used in this process. Each piece represents a life lived by the moon and tides. In death it offers us a tool used to create pieces that you’ll want wear every day, forever.
